Hi KopiKat, good info you provide there.

Actually i haven't look deep into their business. From the last year result the net profit 9% which is not bad. ROE 22% is very good considers it has no debt thus large equity base. Lastly their cashflow makes the killer call, really tons of it.

But then i not too sure about their business niche. I supposed what they provide is quite critical like 3G/4G/Boardband/Fiber optic, anything failed will make all consumers jump. So telco will probably look for providers with track records and quality and probably Neratel is a good choice.

Anyone can give more insights of their business, like their competitors, any niche about their business and who is their customer? Is Singtel using their service?

Sorry i did quick search but so far cannot find info about it. Probably i not searching hard enough.

Neratel is system integrator for niche market. I suppose the main telecommunication system for M1, SingTel and Starhub are not provided by Neratel, rather by big player like Ericsson etc.

Neratel, as system integrator, is mainly provide customized system to project.

From the success stories they posted at Nera Networks website, true, none of the local TELCOs are in their list. But, some key regional ones like Globe (Thailand), Telkomsel (indonesia), Digi (Malaysia),.. are their long term customers,

Interesting that they do not have any business with local telco but the largest revenue segment is in Singapore. Probably Singapore is more defense related?

Either they're supplying to the lower tier for TELCO customers in Singapore and / or main Singapore biz is in the InfoComm segment.

Hi KopiKat,

Great info. My google didn't return me this website, i was looking at this all the while. This new website looks much better and i start to catch some balls from the product and service section.

As for why local telco not in their client list, could it be as simple as local telco not allow vendors to feature them in the client list or any promotional materials? In some non disclosure agreement for the contract etc?

Wow KopiKat ,
No one has presented NERATEL more detail than you. But at what good intrinsic value (p/e, etc..) will you plunked your money down? Actually i think you have put some money down already. After all you have done so much "due diligence." Big Grin

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

http://www.neraphil.com/microwave1.htm

The above website shows the capabilities of nera products.
Singapore Telcos rarely need to employ these solutions since we have massive underground cable networks to provide end-to-end communications.
However, in many remote places in South East Asia, laying underground cables are not too practical and much more expensive than using microwave solutions.

Not to forget their SG Market leadership in electronic payment systems.
