However, shareholders have a right to choose whether to accept the current revised offer. If the offer is not deemed to be compelling, shareholders may not all bite. Can the 90% threshold be breached? Again it is interesting to note that there has consistently been bids above the offer price.
A blogger did a study on privatization deals on the SGX. He found that those who didn't accept the offer actually fared better.

Like some buddies here, I have not yet accepted the offer also. If total minority holds at least 5% after the offer expired, CMA may be the first unlisted company that I will be holding. Will see as we get closer...

I'm thinking of trying to be funny and tender my shareholding except for one share.
Not very meaningful but imagine if 1,000 of us do this, it will be an administrative nightmare for Capland.

No - if everyone does that, they will have enough to compulsorily acquire your last 1 share.

I understand CAPL can only buy at offer price or lower in open market, so what are these buyers trying to achieve?

After this exercise, I am sure CMA will be removed as an index stock. Anyone buddies want to make a guess which stock will replace CMA?

HPL offer price revised upwards a second time, a glimmer of hope for minority shareholders?
