Not sure about being exactly like bear stearns funds which owned subprime mortgage backed securities. These UK funds seem to actually own properties directly like a REIT.

But if there is a rush of investor withdrawal, it will be probably the same for UK banking system as all the liquidity dries up and credit freezes.

Those who have not cash out early may have just lost a big chunk of their nest egg.

Uk Banks will probably be freezing approvals on new commercial building loans now and if this spread to residential, things are going to get very very ugly in London property scene.

lol those local money changer who didn't want to change their pounds away last week losing more money liao.

It will take 2months for UK to get their new PM and do something about the BREXIT situation the way things are going, which means uncertainty and a corresponding downward spiral in the pound.

All the investors in UK must be rushing for that small little door, and many leveraged ones will find themselves "naked" as the tide goes out.

Interesting times, central bankers better announce more QE. (yuan continues to devalue as well, slowly but surely...)
