Like I said before Manulife is a big name in Canada and US based assets should have a better appreciation in US.

At least it saves innocent SGX investors from another stock with hidden and unexplained agendas.

On the surface, the implied yields and cap rates of U.S. listed office reits appear much lower than Sgp ones. So it does seem unusual that they would want to list here...

Jan 5 Canada's Manulife Financial Corp is looking to revive a plan to list a real estate investment trust in Singapore this year after an initial public offering (IPO) was shelved last year due to poor market conditions.

"We'd very much like to bring it back," Chief Financial Officer Stephen Roder told reporters at the launch of a 15-year life bancassurance partnership with Singapore's DBS Group Holdings Ltd on Tuesday.

He did not give an exact time frame or expected size of any IPO.

Manulife shelved a nearly $400 million real estate investment trust IPO in Singapore in the third quarter last year citing deteriorating global markets.

The latest update for the IPO in Singapore...

Manulife reviving US office REIT IPO in Singapore, says FinanceAsia

SINGAPORE (April 20): Manulife is reviving plans for its SGX initial public offering of its US office real estate investment trust, according to a Tuesday report in FinanceAsia.

Manulife is said to have started pre-marketing on Tuesday for the IPO, having failed at the first attempt just nine months ago.

Bankers familiar with the situation suggest the deal could raise around US$500 million ($671 million), slightly more than the $569 million targeted last time, said FinanceAsia.

Wondering is this IPO good?

USD denominated currency
About 6% dividend yield
Target next month IPO
NOT an insurance IPO

What about comparing to the upcoming FLCT IPO?
It seems IPO way is not for "value Investors" to talk about.
Someone ask a good question why FLCT IPO IN SGP and not AUS?
If it's a HK OR CHINA IPO, i will not even consider no matter what the market thinks.
Anyone like to answer why IPO in SGP and not in Aus?

i know!
i know!
IPO stands for "It's Probably Overpriced"

But i think everything can be valued.
Never look down on an IPO if it is valued "probably".
Ha! Ha!
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

Fraser CPT has build up quite a good reputation & following in Singapore for the 3 Reits that it currently manage, so they will get a better reception if they list here, perhaps? Confused
