Every developed country has a list of prerequisites for immigrants. In this case he was probably an Iranian refugee or maybe even asylum seeker. What is a country's policy on refugees or deportation? For example China used to deport North Koreans back to North Korea... is that the best solution?

Human rights is a very loaded term.

I'm not a country leader or politician, but I thought a leader should protect their own people interest first. Yes, this man maybe a refugee when the government was kind enough to take him in, but look at what he did in Australia:

Man Haron Monis, an Iranian refugee and self-styled sheikh facing multiple charges of sexual assault. He was also found guilty in 2012 of sending offensive and threatening letters to families of eight Australian soldiers killed in Afghanistan, as a protest against Australia's involvement in the conflict, according to local media reports.

After all these, shouldn't the government do something to him as he obviously formed a valid threat to the community?

Ya...if human right is the key, then what i can say is their citizens are paying for human rights now....Huh

Citizens have to pay for the policies and principles of the policy making, whether they like it or not. From currencies to housing to job opportunities to immigration to human rights. That's why it is delusional when people think they can be apolitical because politics doesn't affect them

And also why I firmly believe there should be a segregated policies between citizens, PR and visitors because of difference in vested interest. We should always welcome those who share our culture and load to be our citizen. Those who complain about citizenship has priviledges should either join or go somewhere else as the social contract is totally different.

And the below is also part of the social cost we have to pay. The guy who rent out his room to a dozen migrants should be prepared to have his 5-room confiscated.
