Wah even included an S-Chip! YUM!
Analysts recommendations are for you to buy, for them to sell and for you to "hold the baby" when the price drops. Well at least thats my opinion of their calls.

Don't own a single one and so far my picks are averaging div yield >5%

Anyone else 0/5 ?

Used to be 1/5. Now it's 0/5.Bought OCBC when people overreacted for Wing Hang and sold when it rebounded for quick profits.
Sheng Siong and Singtel are on my watchlist. Will buy when the price is right.
Not interested in Singpost and China Merchant (personal rule is no S-chip).

This s chip can easily be listed in HK and trading at 20-30% higher valuation compared to its current valuation in Singapore.

There were several s chips that were delisted from SGX and re listed in HKSE at multiple times valuation. Sihuan, China Animal Healthcare, Asiapharm etc. Asiapharm was relisted at 10x valuation to it's delisted price and it has since risen 75% from its ipo price. It's known as Luye pharma now. These s chips that defected to HKSE can easily outperform the typical Singspore dividend stocks multiple times.

Score 2.5/5. Vested in Sheng Siong and CMP, trading buy in Singtel.

Relax lah, I m merely urging Mr Mermate to look into the stock before he missed out a big cap stock with higher than his type of div yield... no ill intentions...

With the current valuation, and liquidity in Asian equity markets, I really doubt a crash in near future.

Anyway, I always opt for fully vested

Markets generally already priced the future. News of S&P500/DJIA scaling new heights that sprout out on Bloomberg suggests that the consensus support the above view. It was just a little while earlier where people were more uncertain of the future because of Ebola, ISIS, Ukraine etc causing the 5-10% dip in S&P500.

I have been remarkably surprised at how my own views tend to jump back at me in the face many times. When the future feels certain, somehow surprises tend to jump out. When the future feels uncertain, an "invisible hero" comes and save the day. Somehow along the way, i decided to record my own intuitive thoughts/feelings and try to "convert" to contrarian it - a little bit like Dr Jekyll and Dr Hyde... Sometimes ending up confusing myself and with "no views"...haha!

I thought the recommendations are decent. 0/5, but interested in the communists, and my close ones have, or will be getting ocbc, singtel and singpost.
Sheng siong strikes me as odd one out. I applaud their capability to cut costs and grow in a competitive environment, but I find it hard to be assured of its growth plans moving forward.
