The Rockefeller charity is one of philanthropies that pledge to divest from fossil fuels investment. Given Singapore has a large O&M industry that supplies/supports offshore drilling, are we prepare if green energy era is coming sooner than expected?

I might be reading too much but divest is different from close down or disinvest (no new capex for exploration)
Before you speak, listen. Before you write, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you invest, investigate. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. Before you retire, save. Before you die, give. –William A. Ward

Fossil fuel is not just petroleum.
There are a whole host of other products, such as plastics and chemical.
Maybe cars and power plant do not need oil, but other industries will need plastics and chemicals.
