The rust-belt province of Liaoning fabricated fiscal numbers from 2011 to 2014, local officials have said, raising fresh doubts about the accuracy of China’s economic data just days ahead of the release of the nation’s full-year growth report.

City and county governments in the northwestern region committed fiscal data fraud in the period, Governor Chen Qiufa said at a meeting with provincial lawmakers Tuesday, according to state-run People’s Daily. Fiscal revenues were inflated by at least 20 percent, and some other economic data were also false, the paper said, without specifying categories.

If he was indeed abducted from Hong Kong, was it a violation of the '"one country, two systems" policy that was meant to keep the territory legally separate from China until 2047?

China is like that one lah, talk anything against gamen they will clampdown and censor you. If you dun say sorry and promise to keep quiet in the future they will make sure you suffer until you give up. That's just how things work over there.

The flip side is that this creates a chance for Singapore's rule of law and more credible counterparty risk to be more attractive to investors.

Strategically I would think over time it makes more sense for CNS rather than for CNH currency market, if we execute properly.
