Merc beats BMW as best-selling brand here, followed by Toyota in 3rd place.

when one is willing to fork out seventy thousand dollars for a piece of paper, why buy a cheap car?

Merc is a more reliable car than a Beemer.
Not sure why people wants to buy BMW.
Japanese cars still tops reliability though.

Merc is for "senior" towkay, and Beemer is for "young" professional, image wise...
Maintenance is lower for Merc comparing with Beemer, same for the spare parts...

I prefer a Merc, even though I consider myself young. (I am 40, young right??? lol)
BMW simply too problematic to trade off for its image.
