http://www.vibrant.com.sg/images/files/S...cement.pdf - Based on my understanding of this announcement, it would seem SGX-listed Vibrant Group is behind Celestine REIT.

IMHO their timing of REIT is respectable... but execution cannot match the turnaround time of the tycoons...
Idea is one thing... execution is another

Vibrant owned 50% of the Retail REIT manager. The other 50% is owned by Chan Wang Kin, one of the originator of Cambridge REIT. He is one of my ex-MBA classmates... :-)
Vibrant now in logistics, REIT manager, Industrial REIT manager, property development, ah long biz. Does it sound like Chap Cai Png holding company?

Absence of fair value gain hits Second Chance's Q4 earnings

SECOND Chance Properties on Monday reported an 88 per cent slide in net profit to S$5.7 million, on the back of a 16.1 per cent decline in revenue to S$17.9 million for its fourth quarter ended Aug 31, 2014.

This brings the property and retail group's full-year net profit

		The deal lapsed...
--------
PROPOSED SALE AND LEASEBACK OF PROPERTIES – LAPSE OF TARGET
COMPLETION DATE
...
Under the terms of the Option Agreement, certain pre-conditions were to be met by the Purchaser prior to
the 30 December 2014 to enable the completion to take place. These pre-conditions included the
Purchaser obtaining, by the Target Date, the letter of eligibility to list the Fund on the SGX-ST. As the
SGX-ST had not granted the letter of eligibility to list the Fund by the Target Date, the proposed sale and
purchase transaction has now lapsed, and the Option Agreement has no further legal effect.

I was deliberating this for a while and finally divested last week & still holding the warrants.
The stock is already trading above BV (PB - 1.14 and PE 18.2) while many other Property Counters are going for half of the book value. Since the Sim Lim square saga, I started focusing this stock and not so optimistic on Celestial REIT in this market condition... Around the same time SGX queried the company on the "Independence" of an ID...

Was holding since 2010 and it was a good ride and good dividends ...

Respect to the founder/CEO ... He built this company with his hardwork despite his and humble beginning.
