Hi all!

I'm new in this forum and value investing as well, and would like to know if I'm heading in the right direction..

Was reading a book titled "The Warren Buffett Stock Portfolio", and was reading about a part where his stock picks usually have increasing EPS year on year.

I went through some company reports and shares investor, and found a few companies like Vicom, Super Group and some others..

Am I heading in the correct direction?

Does anyone have any stocks to share which fits this profile as well?

Sorry if there was a previous similar post, just joined this forum, so I'm very excited to begin. Wink

Hi, i guess you are on the right track. There are many other factors to take into account, however, one at a time, dont need to rush. As for rising earnings, it will even be better if you can explain the trend. I cant explain many of the trends, i am still learning like you Smile

I understand what you meant by trends. Thanks for the tip!

So for yourself, you would buy a stock and hold with reference to trend movements, eg REITs moving up due to low interest, or would you tend to buy and hold for many many years and ignore the changes in the market?

Yes, buy and hold a stock for many many years, regardless of the stock's market pricing, but not regardless of the stock's fundamental

IMO, it is always worth to invest on companies with increasing EPS, which with a good offer price.

Alright CityFarmer, I understand!

Is it allowed in the forum to share what are some of the stocks with increasing EPS?

Can anyone share with me what are some of the stocks which they know have increasing EPS for lets say the past 5 years?

i think there are some online sites or some brokerage that allows you to screen quickly for such stocks but i have hardly use them. You can wait for other forumners to reply.

Quick question..

when you are looking through all numbers like EPS and NAV, do you use adjusted value, or non adjusted?

A quick answer is,

Use the ones which are closer to reality, in your opinion, since you are the audience of the numbers.
