maybe can intro this for landed prop. Or charge them a monthly fee.
A "central" mailbox can be setup at the entrance to the landed properties areas, and the residents can collect their mails on their way back?

You can rent a mailbox on nearby Post Office, or the new initiative, SingPost POPStation is doing the same for parcel deliveries.

yes. what not? then sell the adverts on the mailbox sides. Like bus stops. cost centres turn profit centres.

Enjoy.
SingPost is in my watch list. I do agree the SingPost mail business monopoly is protected by market circumstances. The entry barriers are not only the post offices and post boxes, but established logistic network for both domestic and international mails, and infrastructure e.g. warehouses. It is not only the hardwares, but the software that managing it. The most important barrier is SingPost has been doing it with much lower cost, IMO

The valuation of mine is not too far from Sg Young Investor's. His fair value is about $1.12, and mine is about $1.20. Using 5 years DCF with FCF of 160 mil, 10% discount, and residue value was estimated with 15x FCF at 5th year.

SingPost is a slow grower. Entry price should allows at least 20% gain to be meaningful, IMO

(not vested now)

Who will steal the whole trolley of mail?
SingPost fined S$30,000 for mail loss incident
SINGAPORE — SingPost has been issued a fine of S$30,000 by the Infocomm Development Authority for a breach in its mail security last September when an entire bag of 400-500 mail pieces meant for six HDB blocks in Woodlands were lost by a postwoman.

The postwoman had left a trolley of mail unattended but hidden behind wood debris at the corner of a void deck while she went to a washroom across the road. She did not take the mail trolley with her as it was raining, and she did not want to get the mail wet.

When she returned after 10 minutes, the mail was gone. SingPost then lodged a police report and performed searches at the surrounding area for four days but the mail was not recovered.

Why the police?
Even report of lost bycycles is nothing to them since no need to register your bycycle and pay a licence fee. So all bycycles look alike to the police. If only cars can be like bycycles then SHIOK for everybody.

By the way, at my HDB's letter box's structure , now there is a box for us to throw the wrongly addressed letters.

i was once invited to dinner at Shangrilla Hotel. Correct address but wrong name. Wasn't this more then "frustation" for me. Think what would happen if i attended the dinner?---Polic case or what?
And this is not the only funny incidence.
Throw them all into the box. Sometimes need to remark- "NO SUCH PERSON AT THIS ADDRESS" on the envelop too. If not the letter will come into my letter box again and again.
Maybe you are right, the police should get involve in some cases.-- Touch wood!

I think the service standard is dropping too. The fine amount is simply not significant to the company. It may even lead to increase in the postage or servce price too. I think company who rapidly want to reduce cost should not do it blindly. Our rail system has not kept up with the maintenance work and see the breakdown we have now. Too much greed and focus on profit will lead to failure to serve the public.
