Our govt is sooo benevolent to her that she cried. Still, she decided to stay in her original home country.

This thread title should be "Retirement Financial Requirement in Singapore".

Perhaps LJW has wanted to return to her orginal home country all the while. but she's smart enough to win a medal for us in our name, collect the prize money, then sadly say she still has to return to her original home.

Isnt this a little similar to many scholars who come here and use us as a stepping stone? Some of them even give us names on their blogs

Maybe we should change the title of this thread to "FT retirement financial requirements"?

Oops.. so sorry.

I meant to be a bit sarcastic since almost every thread will degenerate into gov bashing thread after a while.
The original interntion of this thread is to gather opinions for retirement requirements.

But after a while, someone will drag out the gov + FT topic and bash.
And after a while, all will join in to bash and bash and original intention of the thread is gone.

I am ok if a thread is created to bash whatever under the sun since there are so much unhappiness and it is good to let off your steam. But, try not to destroy or change the original thread starter's intention.

Haha noted with thanks!

Don''t worry we as Moderators will ensure no thread becomes too politicized. I think all forumers should also take note of this.

As we move in 2013, remember that tolerance and respect will make for a better forum, amid a healthy exchange of views, opinions and ideas.

Happy New Year!! Big Grin
