Good point from ngsengkia. In order to verify your hypothesis, you will just need to check whether AMAT is selling stakes their other investor companies.

I wonder why the selling has not triggered a query from SGX?

Anyway I have another theory which is IPT (interested party transactions), whereby AMAT plans to sell out UMS, new merged co with TEL acquire UMS fully at a lower price then. It will just need to give upside of 20% at current share price compared to when at 90c/70c.

One red flag is for AMAT to sell, why do they need to sell publicly and not share transfer to some other investors? Perhaps no takers?

Not vested but things look interesting now. I disagree with Zelphon. Technology transfer is really difficult especially in terms of reliability or quality control.

There seems to be a new process that they can pre-inform SGX about what they were going to do.

UMS up or down 100% is not going to make a dent on AMAT's PnL. Most here don't think PnL is a big consideration either way.

Perhaps by rounding down, he's signalling that he's done selling!

Rounding up would have signaled that he's done selling.

Rounding down is just weird.

With this very small sale if odd lots, it would suggest that the wave pf selling by CEO is over.
