Base on latest 2Q result of Starhub. The net increase of residential broadband customers is starting to reduce.

M1 interim divided of 6.6 cts per share credited yesterday

Up to yesterday, the M1 investment bring a return (base on XIRR) of 21%, includes dividends since year 2010

It should be a respectable return, although my original expectation is higher

Fiber's users up by 14.3k in Jul 2012, with total user approaching 200k milestone. An average of 13.9k per month for Jan-Jul 2012, the adoption is sustaining. With the same pace, it will take another 7 months to reach 300k users.

I think m1 is catching the wind from the search for yield trend given its utility like cashflow. That said with anemic growth prospects locally i can't see a big upside in this counter.

I saw M1's advert on The Straits Times today, publishing average download speed when surfing US websites from May-Jul this year.

M1 fibre network service is more the twice faster compare with the other telecom players This is consistent with CEO Ms Karen Kooi reply during one of the AGM, except that it is back-up with measured data now.
