Market is supposed to be forward looking and tries to price in things up to 6months ahead of it happening based on current news/data. Powell did say FED might reduce pace of rate hikes, so market thinks rates will max out at 3%+ , inflation will come down so acceptable levels and FED will PIVOT early next year.

Looking back last week a trader did mention buy signals for growth stocks even before the earnings and FED announcements. I thought he was a bit too risk taking but looks like he was right. He does say probably last rally before everything rolls over.

As Bill Dudley said, the fed member will have to come out and said the market is wrong ...one thing to take note is that Powell said he is focused on data...so he will be paying attention to the inflation data and job employment data which are lagging indicators.. which will show him that inflation is still high but job market is still ok... that's why I saw his statement as hawk rather than dove...
