1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

CGY my suggestion (not advice) remains the same. You have to understand that this is a serious forum but we also uncovered quite a few snake oil so people are generally skeptical, or as u termed it hostile. It would be good if you can post your portfolio in the Others part of the forum like some have done so we can discuss further there. And you will reap more benefit henceforth and see that VBs are generally helpful to the real folks Smile

Hi,

Personally i am an accredited investor n have private bankers n relationship managers to serve me.

So far i havent bought into their recommendations. But i keep an open mind as they might present me some ideas from which i can do further research upon. But i still beliece these service providers put enriching themselves first and foremost, otherwise they woukd have sacked their bosses already.

I visit forums, valuebuddies included, for the same purpose.

Sometimes an investor might be young and own only a few lots of shares in a company, but the reasons he bought them are far more valuable than the lots n this makes it extremely rewarding to hear these.

Hi Brattzz, I used to think marrying for money is not a good idea, but I changed my mind. I wouldn't mind marrying some super-rich entrepreneur and flying off to live in a castle in Europe. Even if people say I am a gold-digger and a toyboy, I wouln't mind. Imagine what I could so marrying a billionaire heiress in Scotland , don't have to go to the office, can spend all my time playing computer games, smoking cigars on a yacht in the Caribbean, invite the best musicians to play at our castle. Occasionally, when i feel like it, take out a couple million from the bank account and trade the stock markets for fun, even if its all lost, so what hey there's another few billion in the bank account and growing.Wink If you know of any multibillionaire woman looking for a partner, let me know , I will do whatever she requires ...

When that happens, you may be disappointed to then find that life loses its meaning. My take is that having to go to work, and having goals that are difficult to achieve, and working to achieve them, and seeing progress in this endeavour, is what makes life fun.

After several hours of computer games, a few days or weeks on a yacht, and many cigars... you'd go insane.
Sure, by all means marry rich. I'd be the 1st to admit I wish I did that or had the chance to. Or considered wealth as one of the factors.
But the yacht and cigars thing? That'd be fun for maybe a month.
or a year max.
Before you start going crazy.

Whatever u do, just treat human life with respect. Don't be like the rich towkay played a game with Korea hostesses $50 reward for each glass hard liquor drank until the girl died.
As buffet, this thing too will pass. U will be a thing of past too one day

The networth that CGY mentioned included wealth of his parent and his.

If his parent did purchase condo in right timing, i.e. 6 or 7 years back, it is not impossible to have huge paper gain that increase the net worth substantially.
