Imagine he is on the top end of that scale If gov declare 3 month bonus how many ipad can buy with that. Considering his age he did this when he was 60 so I imagine he's also on the old pension scheme that they use to have.

I wonder if someone in civil service got sacked his/her pension still have or not?

very very painful man

Yes, if he is jailed. According to Pension Act.

Pensions, etc., to cease on conviction
18.
—(1) If any person to whom a pension or other allowance has been granted under this Act is sentenced to death or penal servitude or any term of imprisonment by any court of competent jurisdiction, whether in Singapore or elsewhere, for any crime or offence, it shall be lawful for the relevant Pension Authority to direct that the pension or allowance shall immediately cease, and thereupon the pension or allowance shall cease accordingly.

One liner post like this doesn't help in any productive discussion. You can present your view, with the ground that it isn't an isolated case. You do have quite a bit of similar posts in other thread as well.

Dear Moderator,

I just learned from our leaders who also made such statement rather frequently. This one liner was the follow -up of my previous post in the same thread.

Kind Regards/Valueinvestor
i agree sometimes when our Leaders or Elites talk "*^#@$%", it is very "painful" for us commoners.
Why?
We are not sure who they are talking to.
Wise-man to a fool or a fool to a fool or a fool to a wise man.
Surely there are some wise men (better man) among the commoners.
Please don't take us like you are "GODS".
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

I had removed quite a number of your one-liner posts in other threads, which were seen as more than just cheeky posts. Please take note on your future posts. Please also be reminded that stirring up undued hatred and resentment is not allowed in this forum.

Diverse views are welcome, but let's do it in a more productive way.

Thanks

Dear Moderator,

Noted with thanks. I do hope our leaders also visit VB and learn how not to make unproductive public statement.

I'd like to remind forummers not to post any material which is abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually orientated, defamatory, threatening or invasive of a person's privacy, or any other material which may violate any applicable laws.

Do not think that you are online and you are undetectable and untraceable. Thanks.

I agree with the varieties, a little chitchat here and there is OK. But please refrain from personal attacks.
And I repeat again, the main theme is value investing. Thanks.
