Australia's cenbank official expects to see lower A$ in time

Reserve Bank of Australia Deputy Governor Philip Lowe said on Tuesday he expected to see a lower Australian dollar over time and reiterated the central bank would not rule direct intervention in or out.

"We don't rule intervention in or out, that has been a long-standing practice," Mr Lowe told a conference in Sydney, adding the threshold for intervention is high. - Reuters
