Thanks for the reply.

None cheaper than that?

For small lots, e.g. while being a beginner and trying out stock trading, it hits a bit on the net profit. For this case, I just use gross profit to see my performance.

If you hunt elephants, you should not worry about bullets.

Commissions % matters to those who has high portfolio turnover OR/& looking for X% rates.

Should not matter to those looking for X baggers.

I'm not able to find one too.

Therefore, my plan is as follows:
1. 1st 20-60K - can not touch
2. 35% - for one stock so that you will pay for minimum counter charges, and the stock should not be penny stocks because the transaction charges will be too big a %
3. Remaining - for STI ETF

Need some clarification here as I have part of my portfolio vested with CPF monies.
As I understood with my cpfis agent bank(OCBC),when I sell a stock using CPF monies the amount get in straight to the cpfis OA account on OCBC side, and stay there for two months.after which if there isn't any new transaction it will automatically flow back to CPF OA.
As advice there wasn't any need to do a transfer back to CPF and I can just continue to trade.
Any trade over the amount available in the cpfis OA will just result in them tapping on your CPF OA automatically.
There are a few exceptions to this flow mainly dividend collected which will automatically be credited back to CPF OA.
With regards to this can anyone confirm this?

Thaddy0103, your concerns/finding is not relevant as there is a pre-calculated trading limit that you can not exceed.

Eg. If the calculated limit is $0 then you should not trade despite having $$$ in your OCBC side.

What will happen if you're not careful? aka trading beyond CPF trading limit:

Hi Chialc88

What I'm trying to ask is,is it necessary to transfer the $ back to CPF OA?

Anyway I followed the link you give in fundsupermart.
There is absolutely no need to transfer the $ back to CPF OA

can we still trade with the funds in the CPFIS?
Or do we need to transfer back to CPFOA?

confusing lah.. Tongue
1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

Yes. We can buy with the funds credited back to  CPF Inv Acc, still subjected to the Stock Limit and Unit trusts (Professionally managed products) Limit.

no need to transfer back from CPF Inv Acc to CPF OA.  The limits will adjust accordingly (based on inv cost, not profit) after the sale proceeds credited back.

If there is not enough money in your CPF Inv Acc, CPF Agent Banks (UOB/DBS/OCBC) will get from CPF OA. Again, subject to the limits.

basically, just check your CPF limits online before you buy anything. To be sure.

What if a person buy shares without knowing he has exceeded his CPF OA limits by some small amounts? What will happen? Fined by SGX or the trade wont go through or simply top up CPF OA with cash?
