How do we check if the rights(and excess rights) have been awarded? Ive logon to CDP but there wasnt any updates on the rights. I recalled the document saying that the rights will be awarded yesterday?

dont think u be able to see it . Based on the latest release on rights issue allotment

"The Rights Shares allotted and issued to successful subscribers with Securities Accounts(including those who have elected to receive their Rights Shares in their respective SecuritiesAccounts) will be credited into their respective securities accounts on 29 September 2014. The share certificates of other successful subscribers have been despatched today"

Probably we can only see it on monday morning itself

yup monday morning you should be able to see it online, else call CDP hotline to check maybe safer?

The rights shares came in. You may want to check your CDP account again.

I just hope monday there will not be a sell down on OCBC shares
considering so much extra discounted shares coming in from the recent rights issue

wow that's nice!
I read that the rights was around 170% subscribed
does that mean that most ocbc shareholders got excess rights?

If everyone got the excess rights they apply, is it a good sign?
i had some experience of getting all the excess rights i applied for but was in a REIT. Actually the time factor always count. Because different time, have different economic/business conditions, etc... always applicable for all companies.

WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

I kinda worried about all the excess rights, wouldnt the extra supply push prices lower? Maybe i should sell out if the price above 9.70 next week
