There's will be friendly competition but not harsh to call it undermine. Undermine can mean you go there and sabotage or influence at detrimental of average citizen well being. Actions that you need to answer to someone when you pass. I doubt we go so low to survive because i do not think we deserve to live if we do.

Read the link here. The first place he fled is Singapore. The Telco stake is sold to temesek. Actions speak louder than words.

Same with our attitude to China when Singapore is a huge manufacturing base. We spread and support china manufacturing, and we move on.

If Thaksin has continued to be in power, our two countries would have been best of friends with tremendous cooperative potentials. With one willing to follow and learn.
Both are Business minded, itself aside to some. The Exchange rate would have reflected that Smile

Thaksin is a great leader. But a power hungry one

Singapore bet on Thaksin. Might still be too early to say it is wrong bet

Win-win is a much more precaurious position for Singapore. If 2 kids have 3 sweets and 5 sweets respectively, and if there is a proposal to increase to 5 and 10 sweets, the first kid would object, even though he win as well. Forgot what the psychological phenomenon is called.

Win-win is also not a cure all. Politics can be quite complicated but forumers who look at management quality will understand it easier Smile

The truly power hungry one overthere is surely not Thaksin what else can explain so many military coups against civilian governments ? Who is controlling this military ?
