SingNet’s appeal against MDA’s cross-carry direction rejected
SINGAPORE — The Minster for Communications and Information has rejected the appeal of SingNet against the Media Development Authority of Singapore’s (MDA) direction to cross-carry English Premier League live matches for the 2013-2016 seasons. SingNet will continue to be required to continue efforts in making the necessary arrangements to cross-carry EPL content. Below is the statement in full:
On 24 April 2013, the Media Development Authority of Singapore (“MDA”) issued a Direction to SingNet Pte Ltd (“SingNet”) to cross-carry the Barclays Premier League live matches (“BPL Content”) over the next three seasons, starting from 2013/2014 to 2015/2016.
