Coupon sites are too easily copied and merchants don't get what they bargained for.
If the discounts are genuine, I highly doubt the merchant can make any money out of the coupon deals.
If the discounts are not real, consumers would be the 1st to point it out. I went for a seafood deal that
promised a 900g crab, I am a seafood person and I know my crabs well, I am very sure it weighed only half that.
In any case, the merchant signed up hoping that the person would make additional purchases(other dishes at a restaurant) or
repeat visits. Both scenarios did not materialize. Thus disappointment both as a consumer as well as the merchant.
